Martial Arts

Tae Kwon Do

In five short words: balance, focus, flexibility, stamina, strength. Tae kwon do is a modern Korean martial art. It is an outgrowth of Okinawan karate and Chinese kung fu. In our Family & Adult course, students will learn both the modern methods of tae kwon do, and also the fundamentals of the foundation arts as well. The system of instruction, Chayon-ryu, incorporates a broad spectrum of martial arts knowledge to provide the student with a balanced and dynamic program for self-improvement. Our Little Dragons course (ages 4-6) focuses on the basics of martial arts for kids. We work on concentration, balance and discipline, but in a friendly and fun manner. Little Dragons students work on kid-sized bites of our traditional program, so that when they are old enough they can transition in to the regular program. The Little Dragons curriculum is designed to allow the young ones the opportunity to advance and learn at their own pace.
